Building Stronger Connections - OpenSSL Corporation’s Face-to-Face Meeting
At the OpenSSL Corporation, we understand the value of collaboration, and while remote work keeps us connected, nothing beats the energy of meeting in person. That’s why we gather for face-to-face (F2F) meetings three to four times a year, bringing together team members from across the globe.
Our recent F2F meeting was the opportunity to reconnect not just with each other but also with our colleagues from the OpenSSL Foundation. With employees spread across seven locations and three continents, these gatherings allow us to put faces to names, share ideas more dynamically, and build the trust that is essential for collaboration.

OpenSSL Conference 2025
For the first time ever, the OpenSSL Corporation and the OpenSSL Foundation are coming together to host the OpenSSL Conference, a landmark event for our communities. Set to take place on 7-9 October 2025 in Prague, this three-day gathering will bring together industry experts, developers, and stakeholders to discuss the future of OpenSSL Library and cryptographic security. This conference is poised to become a key event in the cybersecurity calendar. Attendees can look forward to insightful talks from experts, developers, researchers, and industry leaders, hands-on workshops, and exclusive networking events, including dinner with the OpenSSL Foundation and the OpenSSL Corporation. Whether you are a developer, researcher, or business leader, this is an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and shape the future of one of the most critical security libraries in the world.
Becoming a Part of the Brno Tech Scene
As part of our commitment to expanding our presence, we also focused on Brno Community Development, emphasising stronger ties with universities, local tech communities, and other organisations. Initiatives such as hosting events, sponsoring activities, and leveraging our renovated office space for local engagement will help strengthen OpenSSL Corporation’s footprint in the region.
Planned Releases
From an engineering perspective, we delved into the upcoming releases of OpenSSL 3.5, OpenSSL 3.6, and OpenSSL 4.0, outlining their key features and the roadmap for their development. Security remains a top priority, and we addressed challenges such as infrastructure vulnerabilities and authentication risks, alongside mitigation strategies that will enhance the security of our ecosystem.
Beyond Agenda: Strengthening Connections
Beyond the formal agenda, what made this F2F meeting truly valuable was the chance to engage with one another on a personal level. Whether over coffee breaks, group discussions, or evening gatherings, we strengthened the personal connections that make our team so effective. We also welcomed our new colleague Stefan, who will be our Customer Success and Support Manager. As we look ahead to the next quarter, we leave this meeting re-energised, aligned, and excited about the future of OpenSSL Corporation.
