Brno Libraries Day: Showcasing the OpenSSL Corporation’s Commitment to Collaboration and Community
On May 27, the OpenSSL Corporation participated in Brno Libraries Day (Brno, Czech Republic), joining 26 Brno libraries at a vibrant event dedicated to knowledge-sharing, innovation, and community engagement.

The event involved hosting a booth alongside esteemed organisations from across the Brno region, engaging with visitors and students who were eager to learn more about cryptographic tools, secure communications, and open-source development.

A key highlight was a presentation by Stefan Kremen, Customer Support & Success Manager, who offered insights into the OpenSSL Corporation’s ongoing contributions to global security standards. Grounded in our mission — we believe everyone should have access to security and privacy tools, whoever they are, wherever they are, or whatever their personal beliefs are, as a fundamental human right — Stefan highlighted how OpenSSL Corporation’s work is shaping the future of secure, accessible digital communications for all. He also drew attention to our growing presence in Brno, showcasing how local engagement supports our broader international initiatives.

We also took the opportunity to invite attendees to the upcoming Grand Opening of our new office in Brno, which will take place on August 20. This event marks an important milestone for the OpenSSL Corporation as we continue expanding our presence and strengthening collaborations across the Czech Republic and Europe. We also invited participants to join us at the OpenSSL Conference on October 7–9 in Prague, where leaders in cryptography, cybersecurity, and open-source development will gather to shape the future of secure communications. We look forward to welcoming both long-time partners and new connections as we celebrate this next chapter.
We thank the organisers of Brno Libraries Day for creating such a valuable platform for exchange and learning — and we thank everyone who stopped by the booth or attended Stefan’s presentation.
